About Davis Underground Solutions
Davis Underground Solutions is a Georgia-based underground utility contractor serving customers throughout the Southeast. We specialize in directional drilling and boring, installing underground pipe and conduit while limiting disruption to roads, parking lots, and landscaped areas.
Our Story
Matt Davis started DUGS in December 2012 with one used drill and a family background in underground construction.
That background began with his father, Jim Davis, who worked for Colonial Pipeline before founding Davis Directional Drilling in 1998. Matt built DUGS on that foundation of practical experience, with his parents helping the company grow and Jim later leading field operations.
Today, Matt serves as President and remains directly involved in sales, operations, and the day-to-day business. His field experience shapes how DUGS approaches each project, from understanding the scope to planning the installation.

What We Do
We install underground pipe and conduit for water, sewer, gas, fiber-optic, telecommunications, and electrical infrastructure. Our work supports projects ranging from individual service connections to larger utility and duct bank installations.
Our capabilities include directional drilling, auger boring, and missile boring. We match the installation method to the project’s size, distance, and site conditions, helping reduce the need for continuous open-trench excavation.
Where We Work
DUGS serves contractors, businesses, and homeowners throughout the Southeastern United States. We take on larger underground infrastructure projects as well as smaller installations beneath driveways, sidewalks, and landscaped areas.
